Senate President Bukola Saraki Pleads Not Guilty To CCT

As promised, the president of the senate, Bukola Saraki finally appeared before the code of conduct tribunal this morning to formally respond to a 13 count charge leveled against him.

As sitting proceeded,  JB Daudu who is Saraki’s lawyer tried to prevent his client from entering the dock with the reasons that the tribunal was not meant for criminal charges. His arguement was however ignored by the tribunal chairman, Danladi Umar who insisted that Senate President Bukola Saraki should enter the dock and take his plea.

Saraki however pleaded not guilty on a 13 count charge leveled against him which bothered on corruption and false declaration of assets.
