Boko Haram sets village on fire after stealing food stuffs

Emerging reports suggest that insurgent group, Boko Haram set a village in Borno state on fire after stealing food stuffs from it. According to a local vigilante who spoke to Sahara Reporters, the terrorist group stormed the remote village of Ashir along Biu road in Damboa Local Government Area of Borno State around 8:30pm on Wednesday and set it ablaze after stealing food stuffs from it.

”They came on motorcycles around 8:30pm. As a local vigilante on duty saw them he quickly alerted the villagers. Everyone fled into the nearby bushes.”

“They went away with two vehicles, some bicycles, goats, chickens as well as all the foodstuffs including salt. But we thank Allah nobody was killed. Only a few people sustained small injuries,” Abubakar Jojori told SaharaReporters by phone.
