The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Tuesday arrested AIT Boss, Chairman of DAAR communications, Chief Raymond Dokpesi.
The arrest was made in connection to the current probe in relation to the acquisition of arms and ammunition for the Nigerian Armed Forces during the Goodluck Jonathan’s administration.
Former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki is at the center of the arms purchase scandal, where N2.1 billion was allegedly diverted.
Former Sokoto state governor, Attahiru Bafarawa was also arrested in connection to the crime.
A presidential investigations committee into arms procurement under the Goodluck Jonathan administration had said in its interim report that it found extra-budgetary spending by the Jonathan administration to the tune of N643.8 billion and an additional $2.2 billion in the foreign currency component.
